Mary Wollstonecraft (1759 – 1797)

Mary Wollstonecraft was an English writer, philosopher, and advocate of women's rights best known for her work A Vindication Of The Rights Of Woman.

She is regarded as one of the founding feminist philosophers, and feminists often cite both her life and her works as important influences.

She wrote two novels, Mary: A Fiction, and Maria: or, The Wrongs of Woman. A travel narrative was also published, called Letters Written in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
