First Edition Identification
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn was published by Harper and Brothers in 1943. Binding in green cloth with printed paper spine label. It was 443 pages. First edition is stated on the copyright page above "D-S" and below "8-43". Pictorial dust jacket has the price of $2.75 printed on the upper corner of the first flap and "5338" is on the bottom.
Other Collectible or Notable Editions
There are many later collectible editions of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. In 1947 the International Collectors Library issued a Limited Edition in hardcover. There are also deluxe editions such as the one published by Easton Press in 2007, bound in full red decorated leather stamped in gold.
