About This Item
A striking poster created for gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson for his 1970 run for Pitkin County sheriff in Colorado under the banner of "freakpower." The only one of the series that fold out to be a tabloid-style paper written by Thompson. Illustrated internally from photographs including the reprint of the controversial "Jilly" nude from Evergreen Review, plus ads. Rare signed by the artist.
