About This Item

(London): Rapp & Whiting, 1969. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First hardcover edition. Octavo. 245pp. Fine with tiny bookstore ticket on front pastedown in very good rubbed dust jacket with some sunning to the spine and moderate edgewear. Inscribed to her friend: "To Marsha Elkins at Eastercon, Chester, 1972 Anne McCaffrey." Marsha was an early member of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, where she met her first husband *Locus* editor Charles N. Brown. She moved to England with her second husband, the British fantasy artist Eddie Jones in the 1970s before later returning to America following their divorce to be an editor for DAW Books. A nice association.
