PAVIA: APPRESSO ANDREA VIANI , 1594. Bella edizione del 1594, un anno successivo alla prima, della versione rivista della "Gerusalemme liberata" di Torquato Tasso (1544-1595). Questo esemplare è appartenuto a Ferdinando II del Portogallo (1816-1885) Principe di Sassonia Coburgo Gota le cui iniziali in oro ( Dom Fernando II) sono riportate sulle pagine di sguardie in broccato di seta rosso. Copertina in piena pergamena della seconda metà dell'ottocento dipinta in rosso e oro probabilmente opera dello stesso Principe Ferdinando II, promotore amante e dedito a tutte le forme d'arte tra cui la pittura. Tagli in oro e rosso. Antiche note manoscritte al frontespizio e timbro a secco. In buone condizioni e completo. Copertina in piena pergamena dipinta in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture. Alcuni margini eccessivamente rifilati. In 8. Dim. 23,5x17,5 cm. Pp. (12)+303+(29).Beautiful edition of 1594 an year after the first edition, of the reviewed version of "Gerusalemme liberata" by Torquato Tasso (1544-1595). This copy belonged to Ferdinando II from Portugal (1816-1885) Prince of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha. The silk attachments with the gold stamping "D. F II." (Dom Fernando II.) Parchment ribbon from the second half of the 19th century with silk attachments and rich painting in gold, red on both covers, spine and inner edge, probably by Ferdinand II himself. Prince Ferdinand II "devoted himself not only to promote the arts, but occurred even as Dilettant in all areas of art as a painter. Antique handwritten notes and embossed stamp in the title page. In good conditions and complete. Full parchment painted cover of second half of 19th century in good conditions lightly worn in extremities. Binding in good conditions. Pages in good conditions with foxings. Some edges are excessively cut. In 8. Dim. 23,5x17,5 cm. Pp. (12)+303+(29).<BR><BR>
