VINEGIA: PRESSO ALTOBELLO SALICATO, 1585. Bella edizione del 1585 della celebre opera di Torquato Tasso (1544-1595). Alla fine del volume l'opera "Cinque canti" di Camillo Camilli (1704-1754). L'opera è "nata dall'esigenza di rispondere all'osservazione che accusava il Tasso di aver lasciato senza risoluzione la Gierusalemme liberata". Questo esemplare è appartenuto a Ferdinando II del Portogallo (1816-1885) Principe di Sassonia Coburgo Gota le cui iniziali in oro ( Dom Fernando II) sono riportate sulle pagine di sguardie in broccato di seta rosso. Copertina in piena pergamena della seconda metà dell'ottocento dipinta in rosso, verde, blu e oro probabilmente opera dello stesso Principe Ferdinando II, promotore amante e dedito a tutte le forme d'arte tra cui la pittura. All'ultima carta bianca della prima opera disegno verosimilmente autoritratto del Principe. Numerazione singola. Alla prima carta bianca antico manoscritto in lingua portoghese. Antiche note manoscritte al frontespizio e timbro a secco. In buone condizioni e completo. Copertina in piena pergamena dipinta in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Pittura lievemente usurata ai margini. Legatura in buone condizioni. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture. Piccolo strappo all'ultima carta. Alcuni margini eccessivamente rifilati. In 8. Dim. 21x15,5 cm. Pp. (22)+127+32.Beautiful edition of 1585 of the famous work of Torquato Tasso (1544-1595). At the end of the volume the work "Cinque canti" by Camillo Camilli (1704-1754). The work was written as a following of Gierusalemme liberata". This copy belonged to Ferdinando II from Portugal (1816-1885) Prince of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha. The silk attachments with the gold stamping "D. F II." (Dom Fernando II.) Parchment ribbon from the second half of the 19th century with silk attachments and rich painting in gold, blue, green and red on both covers, spine and inner edge, probably by Ferdinand II himself. Prince Ferdinand II "devoted himself not only to promote the arts, but occurred even as Dilettant in all areas of art as a painter. In the last blank page of the first work a drawing portrait made by the Prince himself. Single numbering. Antique manuscript in the first blank page in portuguese language. Antique handwritten notes and embossed stamp in the title page. In good conditions and complete. Full parchment painted cover of second half of 19th century in good conditions lightly worn in extremities. Painting lightly worn in the corners. Binding in good conditions. Pages in good conditions with foxings. Lçittle tear in the last page. Some edges are excessively cut. In 8. Dim. 21x15,5 cm. Pp. (22)+127+32.<BR><BR>
