About This Item

[np]: [No Publisher], 1977. Six loose 20 3/4" x 16" black-and-white prints housed in a mustard yellow portfolio with the artist's name on the front wrap. A little scuffing and slight wear to the portfolio, bright prints in Fine condition.

A collection of pencil drawings reminiscent of the illustrations of Ingri and Edgar Parin d'Aulaire by Southern California based artist Jean Goodwin Ames (1903-1986). She and her husband Arthur were both educators and artists. She taught at Scripps College and the Claremont Graduate School from 1940 to 1962 and was chair of the art department at Claremont Graduate School from 1962 to 1969. Scarce, with no copies located in OCLC.
