About This Item
A wordless graphic novel about the life of Jesus with an introduction in Czech. It was issued during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, when literature was tightly censored by the Germans. The Moravian artist, Helena Bochořáková-Dittrichová (1894-1980), has been called the first female graphic novelist. Uncommon, only five copies found in a recent OCLC WorldCat search.
