First edition, first printing. 47 pp. Signed by John Williams on the front free end paper, and inscribed to a former owner, Thomas McClean. Bound in publisher's grey cloth over boards, stamped in gilt; lacking the dust jacket. Very Good. Rubbing to extremities and gilt. Previous owner has written his name to front paste down, and added three words on the contents page. Williams' extremely scarce collection of poetry which was published the same year as Stoner, printed in an edition of merely 425 copies.
