Paperback. 222p., one leaf badly opened with small tears at top of pages, a few small stains on top edge, else very good first Daughters Inc. trade paperback edition in orange and black pictorial wraps. Autobiographical novel about the female experience published in 1962 and filmed in 1964 with a brilliant performance by Anne Bancroft (when was she NOT brilliant?) Her second husband was the writer and barrister John Mortimer who wrote the Rumpole of the Bailey series.
