LUGDUNI, 1552. Raccolta di due opere del giurista civilista e canonista Alessandro Tartagni (o Tartagna) detto anche Alessandro da Imola (Imola 1424-Bologna 1477) entrambe stampate a Lione nel 1552. Dopo aver studiato filosofia e diritto a Bologna, Tartagni insegnò diritto civile, dal 1450, a Pavia, Bologna, Ferrara e Padova e poi di nuovo a Bologna fino alla morte. Ebbe numerosi poi celebri discepoli. Fece commentarî al Digesto, al Codice, alle Decretali, dimostrando un felice equilibrio nel connubio dei due diritti, il civile e il canonico. Fu anche consulente fecondo e rinomato (7 libri di Consilia) (Cfr. Treccani). La prima opera è un repertorio di letture, la seconda un commentario al digesto con aggiunte di Bernardino Landriano (sec. 15-16), Jeronimo Lloret (1506/7-1571), Francois Court. Bel frontespizio figurato. Splendida legatura tedesca strettamente coeva in pelle di maiale su assicelle di legno, i piatti adorni di bordure in rilievo e ripetuti ritratti di figure allegoriche: Lucrecia, prudencia giustitia , superbia, invidia e i profeti Davide Isaia, Elia, San Paolo. Iscrizione 1559 a secco in corpo grande al piatto anteriore, dorso a cinque nervi con nome dell'autore a penna al primo scomparto. Condizioni: Copertina in ottime condizioni con lievi usure ai margini. Lacci di chiusura mancanti. Piccoli segni di tarlo al margine destro dalla copertina fino alla carta E5 senza alcuna perdita di testo e al piatto posteriore al margine destro della coperta e le ultime due carte senza perdita di testo. Legatura in ottime condizioni. Pagine in ottime condizioni con rare fioriture. Lieve piccola gora d'umidità marginale fino alla carta L3 della prima opera e da pag 176 alla fine della seconda opera. Collection of two works bound together by the jurist civilist and churchman Alessandro Tartagni (or Tartagna) alos known as Alessandro da Imola (Imola 1424-Bologna 1477) both published in Lion in 1552. After he studied phylosophy and right in Bologna, Tartagni teached civil right from 1450 in Pavia, Bologna, Ferrara and Padova then Bologna until he died. He had different famous pupils. Then commentaries to Digesto, to Codex, Decretales. (Cfr. Treccani). The first work is a repertory of lectures, the second one is a commentary to digestum with addings by Bernardino Landriano (sec. 15-16), Jeronimo Lloret (1506/7-1571), Francois Court. Beautiful figurated title page. Very beautiful coeval cover in pigskin on wood, decorated plates with relief decorations and repeated portraits of allegorical figures: Lucrecia, prudencia giustitia , superbia, invidia and prophets Davide Isaia, Elia, San Paolo. Embossed date 1559 in front plate, spine with five nerfs and the name of the author with pen in the spine. Conditions: Cover in very good conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Laces closure are loss. Front plate: Little worming in the right edge of the cover until page E5 with no loss of text. Back plate: worming in the right edge from the cover and two last pages with no loss of text. Binding in very good conditions. Pages in very good conditions with occasional foxings. Slight water stain in the edge until page L3 of the first work and from pag 176 until the end of the second work. In folio. Cm 43x30,5x5,5. Pp. (116)+191+(1). Weight Kg. 4
