Reissued by Heinemann in 1939 as The Splendid Journey. Scarce in this condition which is Very Good. There is edge wear and page toning, but no writing or reading creases. May be unread.Story of a boy who led his brothers and sisters down the Oregon Trail. Honore Morrow was an American writer and editor most noted for her Great Captain Trilogy centered around Abraham Lincoln. She was first encouraged by Theodore Dreiser and was married to publisher William Morrow. There are some black and white illustrations by Edward Shenton, who did many illustrations and covers, including the jacket for Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night which is worth looking up.
