Volume XXXII, Part II - May 1905 to October 1905
Includes the first appearance of "Queen Zixi of Ix; or The Story of the Magic Cloak" in several monthly releases throughout the two volumes that includes numerous illustrations. This release is known as the serialized version and is the first appearance of the story, which Baum is known as commenting as the best book he had written.
Conducted by Mary Mapes Dodge. Copyright and published 1904-1905 by The Century Co. (New York). Maroon quarter leather hardcover shows heavy wear to include heavy shelfwear and edgewear, bumped and worn-through corners, scratches, nicks, and heavily worn spine head & tail. The leather on the spine on each volume has dry rot, missing leather pieces, heavy cracks, cuts, tears, and heavy rubbing to the leather. The maroon leather WILL RUB OFF on anything it touches, so please keep that in mind. There are heavy scratches and rubbing on the marbled boards. Binding is still intact. Textblocks have tanning, spots, and stains. Volume I has heavy spine lean. There are notations on the front endpaper and pastedown and other markings can be found in each volume. Overall with the heavy wear to the leather but intact binding, this set is in Good minus (G-) condition.

Black half leather hardcover shows wear to include heavy shelfwear and edgewear, bumped and worn-through corners, scratches, nicks, and heavily worn spine head & tail. There are nicks and scratches to all three sides of the textblock. There are notations on the front endpaper and pastedown and other markings can be found in each volume.
