ILLUSTRATED with a frontispiece portrait and text vignettes. An important, early novel dealing with domestic violence, and marriage laws in Ireland and Scotland. A bright, clean copy. Signed and dated by former owners Mr. & Mrs. A. B. Wiswall of Newton Lake Falls, Mass. Sept. 1869.
