About This Item
Bibliotheque des Curieux, 1913. Half-Leather. Good. [8] prelims including forntispiece + 301 pages + [4] publisher's catalog. Rebound in half leather with marbled boards, gilt top page edges and gilt lettering with 5 raised bands on spine. A few rub marks on spine but still looks nice. Marbled boards have sunned margins and rubbed through on edges. Binding is tight but stress lines on leather spine hinges reveal some fragility in the gutters. Marbled endpapers, ribbon, original paper wraps not retained. Qq illustrations hors-texte TBE. The interior text is smooth and crisp and perfectly legible though the page margins are quite yellowed. The only damage is the fold-out illustration which is torn at the centerfold and repaired with tape.
