London: John Stockdale, 1788. Leather Bound. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 292, [4] pages with additional publications at the rear. Includes the engraved frontis and the engraved title page. Hardcover bound in full calf leather. The binding is worn and bumped, and there is some cracking to the hinges, especially near the headcap. Outer edges of the text block are toned. A previous owner's name inscribed in ink on the front pastedown. Some pencil markings in the upper right corner of the rear pastedown. There is light foxing to the end papers as well to the title page and adjacent frontispiece. The text is toned.

London: John Stockdale , 1788. Contemporaty leather with gold gilt ruling on the front and rear covers . Red spine labels with gold gilt lettering. The book is in very good condition. The corners are lightly bumped. It appears the book had the end sheets replaced at some time as they are much brighter than the rest of the book - even so, there was a written notation concerning replacing the end sheets (which I gently erased). The book pages are lightly browned with age, but there is very little foxing. There also appears to be very light dampstaining to the top inch or so of the last half of the book, but it is light. The book is very well preserved. The book has an engraved frontispiece. 292 pages followed by ads for other books from the publisher. This is the "new edition" . . HardCover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Early hunting book mainly concerning Hare hunting. chapters include Hare hunting from Xenophon, On Coursing from Arrian, Method of destroying Hares by the Hare Pipe. and an account of the hunting excursions of Asoph Ul Doulah A Very Good Book in half-leather binding with marbled covers. The spine is slightly dulled but titles are still clean front board stating to strain along spine edge but still holding. pages clean and bright. Armourial bookplate inside front cover.
