Book is in Very Good- condition, with some light smudging and soiling to cover, corners lightly bumped and rubbed. Pages are clean and secure.

The utter opposite of the authors soothing bedtime classic, Goodnight Moon, this book features a gun-toting boy of about ten, whose jacket portrait is reminiscent of a Diane Arbus photo. He enters a sleepy town where everyone whispers. He enters a restaurant and is refused service because he wont whisper. After he kicks doors, shoots his gun, sets off a firecracker, and shouts, he is rewarded with a chicken dinner instead of a trip to jail. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Dj is price-clipped, some edge-wear and short edge-tears, chipped areas at some tips, all under 1" depth. A lovely copy in the scarce dj.
