Struck by their high level of agreement on the Jewish Question, it occurred to him that upon his return to civil life he should write a book giving both of their views and possibly suggesting the best grounds for a common understanding. When the time came to write this book, the assistance of Joseph Leftwich was sought to flesh out the Jewish standpoint. The result is this book. "A.K. Chesterton (1899-1973) was a British journalist and political activist.
