Full contemporary leather with rubbing to edges and covers, front joint loosened, but all cords are attached. Black spine label rubbed. Rear end page corner torn. Unmarked. Still bright paper with light foxing. Leather title includes " Irivings Works" and part of a set, but stands alone with no interior information indicating set numbers. London: John Murray, 1823. A New Edition. Hardcover. 336; 347pp. Octavo [20 cm] Rebound in plain sturdy brown cloth with printed paper title labels on the spines. New endsheets. Deckled page edges. Very good. The spines and covers are lightly rubbed and soiled. The bottoms of the spines are a bit more abraded. The title labels on the spines are just a little soiled and chipped. The top edges of the text blocks are darkened, and have several extremely tiny stains. There are small sticker stains on the front free endsheets. Slightly browned pages. Occasional light foxing throughout the pages. An early edition.

Cover has mild shelfwear on all edges, a few tiny chips, and small rubbed areas on front and back. Very nice copy.
