This famous Gorey collection of The Insect God, The West Wing, and The Gashlycrumb Tinies was produced in 1963 as a boxed set. Books are all very good, unmarked and clean and bright; only Gashlycrumb has prior owner's name at top of front endpaper and on title page. These are stated first printing. Box is somewhat worn, with chips on edges and spine covering is loose on one edge.

Sewn bindings. Condition on each is Near Fine, marred only by modest rubbing to spines & extremely mild bumping to fore edge corners. Else, completely clean, pages white & unmarked, bindings strong & straight. The box that contains all three books is VG, with rubbing to extremities (heaviest at corners) & a wrinkled bump to one lower corner by the opening. Three separate volumes, in publisher's illustrated slipcase box [Toledano A13 (which incorporates A11a, A12a and A14a)]. Each is oblong 12mo., [58]pp.; [34]pp.; [66]pp. Illustrated by Edward Gorey. Pictorial boards. Light wear on spines and tips of corners (with slight tanning on spine of 'The West Wing'), few leaves of 'The Gashlycrumb Tinies' have faint, tiny soil marks at fore-edge, else near fine, in very good slipcase box; publisher's illustrated paper-covered slipcase box has spots of moderate wear at extremities, short tear along top edge. Original Gorey illustrated price sticker on the box.
