Fort Concho was a US Army fort located in present day San Angelo, TX. Fort Concho was considered by the Army to be one of their most important forts in all of the west during the Indian Wars of the 1870s. Although other authors have recounted the military history of the fort, this book recounts its social history and daily life of the people who lived there. No previous owner marks.
