The voume is rubbed, soiled, has bumped corners and spine ends, and the spine is sunned, diminishing the color intensity. The front endpaper is missing, the front hinge is cracked, some pages are overopened, and the page edges are soiled.

From the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries, much of the territory of the present-day country of Ghana belonged to the Ashanti Empire.
