Ex-libre, with the usual markings (donated by a local historical site library to our local library, from whom we purchased book). Judging by the condition of the map, the unaffected deckled edges, the square and tight bindings, and virtually no rubbing to the red cloth covers, this set went unread, or certainly was seldom consulted. Spines with some fade though gilt lettering still fresh and bright. Vol 2 with spotting to gilted top edge.

Boards have light wear along edges, otherwise very good.
