His interpretation of fossils as living organisms contributed to a better understanding of palaeoecology and evolution. Free endpapers browned. Previous owners name and address to front pastedown (but under the flap of the dw - so not visible). Dw has tears to either side of the spine and top and bottom and the spine is very grubby. VG / P.
