Very liight rubbing to cover extremities. Very faint age darkening of spine cloth. Small, neat prior owner inscription to upper front endpaper. Otherwise clean and tight in a bright but moderately-to-heavily edgeworn dust jacket, with most wear to corners and spine edges. Worn closed 2" split at lower front cover corner where it adjoins front flap. Spine somewhat sunned. Panels lightly scuffed.

The dust jacket is wavy. The author served as a maid(and her mother before that) and seamstress at the Executive Mansion for 30 years prior to her retirement which was shortly before writing this book.
