Vivid autobiography of one of the most remarkable lawyers to practice law in the West & certainly in Oklahoma. From the title page: "The life story of the man who defended 343 persons charged with murder. I believe it is accurate to say that the authorship & publication of this book was in dispute, & the reasons are too elaborate to present in this space. This copy vg, with the spine only slightly faded -- almost all copies that I have seen are quite faded. There is a wrinkle to the cloth at the bottom of the spine. Very scarce. No dj (I have never seen a dj for this book). 6-guns 1774.
