Brown textured cloth, unstamped, with "Shakspeare" lettered in gilt on spine panel, text block edged in gilt. Modestly rubbed edges, light shelf wear, with gilt on edges partially rubbed away. Front cover hinge cracked and hanging by threads. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Former owner's name on front end sheet. Frontispiece and many engraved plates protected by tissue. Pages are toned and foxed but in very good condition. .
