Well let's put it out there - any book by Speer has to be viewed with a large degree of scepticism. Arguably Hitler's most trusted confidante, prison survivor and subsequent successful writer, and most certainly a history revisionist - doesn't detract from the intensely interesting accounts of the pre War and WWII books he put out. This book is no exception - a scathing opinionated account of Himmler by Speer that can only leave you feeling the essence of the infighting and machinations amongst Hitler's closest associates - a situation that Hitler is said to have fostered himself. Translated by Joachim Neugroschel. Harder to find in this very nice condition.
