Top and side of covers have no rubbing. Slightly bumped corners. Overall in good plus condition. There is some light rubbing and one small tear to the cloth on the top spine end of the book cover. There is a repaired tear to the spine of the book cloth as well. The text pages are mostly clean and bright, but do have some beginning toning to the edges and the endpapers. The tissue guards on some of the illustrated plates are missing. Reproduces a full-page illustration of Captain Ahab by Kent along with pp. 140-141 which each have illustrations as well as text. The other books in the prospectus are Edgar Allan Poe's TALES with Dwiggins illustrations; Dana's TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST with Wilson illustrations; and Thoreau's WALDEN with the Ruzicka illustrations.
