Near Fine but for an unfortunate accident when the first reader (presumed) opened the book and did not realize the first few pages (vii, viii, 1, 2) were as-of-yet uncut and were subsequently torn. It happened again to pps 31, 32, 33, 34. Oddly enough, pps 3, 4, 5, 6 remain to-this-day, uncut along the foredge. It is in such nice condition otherwise it is safe-to-say that the volume was read only a few times, perhaps just once. Small bookshop sticker to the gutter of the rear cover from the Holliday bookshop in NYC on 47th st. We also have a companion volume (Summer) from the same set and bookshop. Interesting reading from this great NE author.
