Small water stain to top edge penetrates into upper margin of the gutter mostly in the last 30 pages, not affecting the text (see photo of the last plate). Name and date on ffep. Very light foxing, predominantly in the margins. Ships wrapped in bubble wrap and packed with care in a box.

Written by Isaac Pin Trimble (1804-1890), the chief entomologist for the State Agricultural Society of New Jersey and a member of the Horticultural Association of the America Institute, wrote this book as a practical manual for American farmers for the preservation of fruit trees. The text balances the scientific with the practical, and the detailed plates.

First Edition. Isaac Trimble was chief entomologist for the State Agricultural Society of New Jersey and well as a member of the Horticultural Association of the America Institute.
