Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Binding is slightly shaky. Small tears to edges of pages. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Rubbed marking to boards. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Minor thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Moderate cracking and light staining to gutters but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Binders ticket of Edmonds & Remnants to the pastedown. Attractively bound and nicely illustrated architectural & historical account of four cathedrals.

Damage to joint, hinge open at endpaper level front and back.
