Each volume with a decorated title page and frontispiece, and two further black and white illustrated plates by Greig and Tilney (three to volume I). Recently re-bound in navy half calf, with raised bands, gilt titles to spines, and matching cloth over boards. Top edges gilt, others neatly trimmed for new binding. Presented in a matching navy fleece-lined slipcase with ribbon-pull. Browning to plate tissue guards and facing leaves, and occasional minor spotting throughout. Overall a nice clean set in an attractive new binding. Slipcase shows a mild bump to one corner.
