William Blake was an English poet and painter whose work was underappreciated during his lifetime. One of his best and most important works was "Illustrations of the Book of Job" – Blake's pictorial interpretations of the Book of Job. According to both Schoenherr and Essick, these works of art are Blake's greatest masterpieces.

This set of 21 engravings shows the progression of the life and story of Job. This 1927 edition reprints Blakes original plates from the British Museum paired with the text of Job from the Bible!
