In good three quarter bright red and quarter darker red cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The covers are shelf-cocked and fairly tight; quite clean, with just a few marks. Tanned free end papers; the front paste down has name of previous owner. Top edge dirty; fore and tail edges tanned and tail edge deckled. The text block is in very good condition, firm, quite clean, not tanned, but slight light foxing on prelims and end pages. With frontispiece and tanned tissue guard.
