Small chips to jacket and one large one at upper front. Former owner's signature on front free endpaper. Monograph explains the design ideas and philosophy of the Archigram Group, consisting of Peter Cook, Warren Chalk, Dennis Crompton, David Greene, Ron Herron, and Michael Webb. The ideas were originally displayed in their broadsheet periodical Archigram in the 1960s. Jacket designed by Diana Jowsey of Archigram.

Horwood (1864-1938) was a founding member of the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, as well as a member of the Toronto Society of Architects, the Toronto Architectural 18 Club and the Toronto Architectural Sketch Club. He was a proponent of developing a unique Canadian style of architecture and argued for artistic freedom in the training of young architects. He was widely recognized as an expert on structural engineering, including foundations and drainage. His son, E. C. Horwood, was also a well-known Toronto architect.

Black cloth hardcover has small label on lower spine and chipped spine ends. Small label on front pastedown. Dampstained rear endpapers with ink notation. Philadelphian Henry Carey Baird (1825-1912) published over 250 scientific and technical titles over the course of his long publishing career. The list of his titles is almost a paradigm for American industrial progress in the second half of the nineteenth century.

Their London landmarks include the American shingle style home at 100 Cheapside once owned by Cy Warman and the Annie Pixley Mausoleum in Woodland Cemetery.
