Fort Worth, Texas: Amon Carter Museum, 1986. 339 pp., 167 illustrations including 126 full-page black and white plates and 7 colour plates covering the photographer's oeuvre from her first experiments with a camera as a child ( born in 1891) to her death in 1979. Spending much of her career in the American Southwest she was intrigued by the Navajo Indians but also made excursions to other parts of the United Staes and to Yucatan as well as documenting life during the Great depression. The book accompanied a retrospective exhibition and includes the handlist and a chronological bibliography of her other exhibitions and published work.
