Description:
This is a very early English appearance of Human, All Too Human by German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. The first English edition was published in Chicago by Charles H. Kerr & Company in 1908 and this edition, also being published by Charles H. Kerr & Company, was published in 1910. Meanwhile the first British edition was printed in 1909 and was included in part of a uniform set of Nietzsche's works published by T.N. Foulis. Nietzsche's first attempt at aphoristic writing lays the groundwork for his later works. The book introduces various concepts through brief paragraphs and sayings, hinting at his signature style. Good Condition. Green cloth with debossed design to front board and black titles. Binding is firm, yet title is slightly loose. Hinges are firm. Pages are lightly tanned and free of any inscriptions. Boards have moderate edge-wear woth some bumping to corners and fraying to edges. Spine has faded. Notable dark stain to rear board and a light stain to front board. Some darkening to edges.
