For example, Field to Revelstoke (125 miles) is known as the Mountain sub-division, and Revelstoke to Kamloops (129 miles) is known as the Mountain Sub-division. The two together are known as the Revelstoke Division and Revelstoke was the local administrative location for the area. For over 100 years the Mountain sub-division was known as the most difficult to administer on the whole length of the Canadian Pacific Railway." The book has dozens of early b/w photos.
