David Duncan was an accomplished photojournalist who covered World War II and the Korean War. He later joined Life magazine. He was a close friend of Picasso and was the only person allowed to photograph Picasso's private collection. There are over 100 tipped in color plates of his paintings. The book is in very good condition overall, the boards are fresh. There is a stain on the front and back free endpapers and a light stain on the fore edge. The dust jacket is not price clipped, showing the original price of "$24.95 until Dec 31, 61". There are chips to top and bottom edges of dust jacket. See photos.
