New York: Doran, 1927. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) served as a military advisor to Bedouins in their revolt against the Ottoman Turks from 1916-1918. This is the first American edition. Octavo (9" x 6"). Original purple-brown cloth, with front cover and spine stamped in black, with the rare original dust jacket. Jacket flap is clipped but retains the original $3.00 price. Jacket is chipped and worn, but mostly intact. Some rubbing to cloth boards, some minor foxing in text. 16 plates, folding map. Copyright page states 'First printing in America, March, 1927', and includes George H. Doran lozenge. Overall a very good copy of this rarity.
