Bound in 19th century marbled paper, no label or lettering. Spine strengthened with binder's cloth, edges of covers slightly worn and corners slightly creased, 1 neatly strengthened on reverse, occasional faint spot to contents. A good copy. The author addresses the Latin version of his German monograph to Linnaeus. The animal-plant in question is nowadays classified as an animal: a species of the phylum cnidaria or coelenterata.
