Melbourne: Heritage Publications., [1975]. Facsimile edition. Quarto. Publisher's original red cloth with titles in gilt to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with a large folding frontispiece, one colour plate, four black and white plates, and a folding colour map. A very good copy, the binding square and firm. The contents with some spotting to the edges of the textblock, toning to the pastedowns, minor wear to the paper covering the front hinge, and a minor 1cm tear to the blank inner margin of the folding frontispiece are otherwise in very good order. The unclipped dustwrapper with some fading to the spine, light spotting verso and a little shelf-wear to the extremities is likewise very good. A facsimile of the 1803 London edition of Grant's account of his exploration of New South Wales.

Publisher's original illustrated paper wrappers with wood-engraved vignette of a butterfly to the upper cover and a large wood-engraving of a girl selling flowers to the lower. Illustrated with 35 wood-engravings by Thomas Bewick. 36pp. Loosely contained within a contemporary full black calf folder, the booklet held in place with a black ribbon. The folder with the boards ruled in gilt, four raised bands to the spine, gilt ruling to compartments, and gilt morocco title label. A very good copy; the covers with a little toning; the contents with pp.17-20 loose but held securely in place by the black ribbon, an old clipping from a bookseller's catalogue pasted to the verso of the upper cover, and some old pencil notes to the front free endpaper verso, are otherwise in very good order. Milano: Sonzogno e Comp., 1816. First edition. Volume 5 only. Octavo. Contemporary half roan over speckled paper-covered boards, the spine ruled in gilt. Illustrated with four engraved plates, with tissue-guards, beautifully hand-coloured by Lazaretti. 394pp. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some loss to the spine label, rubbing to the spine and joints, and wear to the corners. The contents with an old water mark to the top margin of the first 60 pages or so, a few small stains to the edges of pp.261-268, and some light scattered foxing are otherwise in very good order. The plates themselves are clean and bright, the colours remaining vivid. The fifth volume from this wonderfully illustrated Italian edition of Cook's voyages published between 1816 and 1817, which ultimately comprised seven volumes. The contents with a few spots of toning to the endpapers are otherwise in very good order and clean throughout. Signed and inscribed by George Bernard Shaw in black ink on the half-title page: "To Lily Thicknesse / from G. B. S. / 4th March 1902".
