Istanbul, 1819 Handwritten. Very Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 223 p. Arabic Ta'liq script, approx. 19 lines per page. Scribed by Ahmad ibn Othman al Mufti in Karahisar in Anatolia and dated: in the midday of Tuesday 3- Jumada al akhir 1234 AH. (1819 AD.). The preface and colophon indicate that the book was written by the author (who was lived and died in Damascus) as a commentary on his poem which was written in 1158 AH. (1745 AD.) according to the order of the Ottoman Sadrazam (Prime minister) and the grand Mufti (Sheikh al Islam) to support the Ottoman army during the Turco-Persian war. The commentary was later written in 18- Thul Hijja 1167 AH. (1754 AD.). Measurments: 21x12 cm in modern hard cover binding..

Arabic manuscript on Mawarith, Islamic law. approx. 300 p. copied by Abd al Kadir b. Zain ud din al Karafi al Azhari in 986 AH. in Bab al Salam in Mecca. A commentary on Al Sirajiyya known as Fara'idh al Sajawandi of Siraj ud-Din Muhammad ibn Abd ur-Rashid Sajawandi (d. about 600 AH.). Some water stains, back side of the binding with marginal cut, missing the first leaf from the text. Rare book copied in Mecca in the 16th C. The author was a
leading traditionalist theologian of 15th-century Iran.
Jurjānī received a varied education, first in Harāt and then in Egypt. He visited Constantinople in 1374, and, upon his return in 1377, he was given a teaching appointment in Shīrāz. In 1387 Shīrāz fell to Timur, the famous central Asian conqueror, and Jurjānī, whose fame as a teacher and scholar had reached its height, was taken to Timur's capital of Samarkand (now in Uzbekistan). Istanbul: al- Matba'a al 'Amira al- Sultaniyya (The Imperial press), 1866 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Ahmad Faris was born in Lebanon for a Maronite family who called him Faris. He travelled to Egypt then to Malta where he became the director of the American printing house. He travelled in Europe and Tunisia where he converted to Islam and invited to Isnbul where he lived for several years and established al- Jawa'ib press and newspaper in 1277 AH. which was the first Arabic political magazine to be issued there for 27 years. Arabic text in 609 p. Folio, in contemporary Ottoman style decorated soft leather binding with occational minor holes in the back cover, Finely restorated. Limited cuts in the upper margins of the first page didn't affect the text. Minor cut in the upper right corner of the last page with one or tow words missing. Very rare excellent copy overall..

Sulale-i Dvlet-i Aliye-i Osmaniye. 37 images of the Ottoman Sultans on 19 plates, includes 5 photographic of the Sultans; Adbdul Mejid, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Hamid İİ, Murad V, Mehmed Resad. The album was prepared before between 1908 and 1918 titled in French and Ottoman Turkish on the front cover, all plates are separated with tissue guards, each plate contains 2 cards, and all cards are inscribed by the İraqi calligrapher Mehdi el Juburi in 1412 H. (1991 AD.). The Iraqi Calligrapher Sheikh Haj Mehdi Al-Jubouri was licensed by the Turkish pioneer, the last Ottoman calligrapher Hamid Al-Amdi who was an icon of this art and one of the last Ottoman calligraphers. Mahdi Al-jabouri is considered one of the fathers of Iraqi Calligraphy. Born in 1928, in Rumaitha, Mahdi Al-Jabouri founded “The Association of Iraqi Calligraphers” and “The House of Calligraphy” in 1954, He holds a number of awards in calligraphy from Hamid Al-Amdi and others.
