Cleveland, Ohio / New York, NY: World Publishing Company, 1946. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Nice solid second printing (March, 1946) in attractive dust jacket. Clean unfaded black cloth boards with gold lettering and gold and turquoise Forum Books logo on cover, turquoise title box with gold lettering on spine. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Clean lovely endpapers illustrated with photo of Clark Gable and Greer Garson, title page illustrated with nice photo of Gable. Illustrated with photographs from the MGM film. Pages are clean but tanned. 183 pages. Dust jacket is slightly trimmed (1/8") quite clean, very shallow chipping at spine ends; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Originally published as "The Anointed" in 1937, and made into motion picture called "Adventure" 1946 American romantic drama film directed by Victor Fleming and starring Clark Gable and Greer Garson..
