John Lane The Bodley Head, 1913. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1913. No Edition Remarks. 310 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with gilt. Contains colour illustrated plates. Gilt applied to top edge of text block, remaining sides are rough cut. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Plates are bright and clear. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine.
