Folio, xiii, [1], 1, 261, [1]; 43 plates, 18 in color; green paper covered boards backed in tan cloth, green morocco label on spine; light foxing to top edge, else fine in a near fine dust jacket with some toning to the inner spine where it makes contact with the label. Louise Norton Brown was a passionate and sophisticated collector of Japanese books. Her survey of Japanese book history remains a useful and well researched reference, and includes a bibliography and index.
