London : Hodder and Stoughton, 1895. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1895. No Edition Remarks. 491 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Rough-cut pages. Light foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges and free endpapers. Annotations, underlining and marginalia in pencil throughout; text remains unaffected. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Visible splitting to joints. Book has a slight forward lean.
