About A. Friendly's Books

A. Friendly's Books was founded in Downtown Overland Park, Kansas, in 1994 as a brick and mortar used, rare and out-of-print bookstore. The store is named for the original A. Friendly who, legend has it, traveled around the country to small towns and homesteads in the early days of the US carrying a sack of books on his back, or sometimes pulling a small cart filled with books to sell and trade. He often told stories to the townspeople and even taught some how to read. Today we use the internet but our love for books is the same as in the days of A. Friendly. All of our books are carefully packaged and we offer free shipping in the US. We guarantee all books to arrive as described or money back.
