About This Item
Boston, MA: Houghton Mifflin Co., 1971. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a stated first printing. The book looks almost new. The interior is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The green cloth covers are fresh, the red gilt spine lettering and decoration are shiny. The dust jacket is also in very nice condition, bright colours and minimal wear. It is clipped on the bottom corner, but has its price intact in the upper corner. A lovely copy. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: This is a small-format picture book. The villagers in a small town were very proud of the wonderful stained glass window in their church, and were upset when it was broken just before Christmas. A young monk from a local monastery was called in to repair it. The young man's father had been an artist in stained glass, but not his son, and the repair attempt led to a complete ruin to the window. It took a Christmas miracle to fix the problem.
